Hydroponics:
the Magic of Light, Water, Nutrients and Seeds

In keeping with our goal to inspire neighbors to grow edible
plants, we developed a project to highlight growing edible food hydroponically.

In partnership with the Deale Library, we set up a hydroponic growing system in the children's activity area of the library.

Our team started seeds for assorted greens and herbs, then monitored and documented their growth.

As the plants grew, cuttings of the herbs and greens were shared with library patrons and staff.

At the conclusion of the project, we gave a presentation providing an overview
                                           of hydroponic growing.

All the plants were then removed from the hydroponic grower
and donated to the library for their outdoor garden.
